Photos of Me
Here are some photos of me. The most recent one is two years old. Most of them are more than ten years old though. I prefer to be behind the camera, rather than in front of it.

Highlight for Album: Paria May 2005
Paria May 2005
I often go to the ghost town of Pahreah in Utah, camping in the Paria River valley. There are no services and no developed camp sites. The water from the river is usually too silty to drink, even when the cattle are out of the canyon. The road is frightening for an inexperienced 4-wheel driver and impassable in wet weather. But it's a small treasure in the Utah wilderness.

Highlight for Album: Grand Canyon March 2005
Grand Canyon March 2005
In March 2005 I hiked into the Grand Canyon on the Kaibab trail--very steep, descending 5,000 feet over 6 miles. I was in the Canyon for nine days, hiking up towards Utah Flats (didn't quite make it), and then all the way to Clear Creek where I spent several days. I hiked out again on the Kaibab. These are the best shots from that trip.

Highlight for Album: City of Vancouver January 2005
City of Vancouver January 2005
I'm emigrating to Canada in 2006, and will live in Vancouver. In January of 2005 I decided to visit at what was said to be the worst time of year, just to get a sense of what it would be like. I loved it. I found the mix of old and new architecture stunning, thought it was a cosmopolitan and fascinating city, and couldn't have asked for better food.
